The best way to keep up to date with what is happening in Pre-School is through the tapestry app. We will frequently post pictures and updates of what is going on each week. 

We have a Facebook page to help keep you updated with life at Pre-School. Please search for 'West Hill Pre-School'  (or go to https://www.facebook.com/Westhillpreschooldevon) and follow our page. Please do not use Facebook to communicate with us, please call or text us if your child is going to be absent.

Dance Classes
We have a wonderful dance teacher, Jo Wilson from JW Dance in Ottery who comes into preschool every Tuesday morning to run a dance session with our children. We will be continuing these sessions in the new academic year '2023-24. The children love having lessons from Jo, they are all engaged and enjoy the variety of music and movement these sessions bring. 

​​Forestry Friday
Forest school is a lovely session that we are re-starting on a Friday morning in the Autumn term. The children all go to a designated Forest school site with a qualified Forest School Practitioner. The children enjoy being outside exploring and investigating the natural world, challenging themselves and building a life-long love of the outside world.  We enjoy den building, climbing, swing building, mud kitchen, and much more!  The session are focused around the children's interests and help build confidence and self-esteem.

As part of the Forest school Friday we set the Pre-school up to reflect the session, we follow the Forest School ethos of natural resources and exploring nature.  By extending Forest School into the setting it helps embed the learning that happens at the Forest School site.
