About us
We are open every day during term time and accept children from 2 years up to school age. We run a morning session (9.15am -12.15pm) and afternoon session (12.15pm - 3.15pm) from Monday to Friday. The afternoon session incorporates lunch.
There are typically up to 22 children, and 4/5 staff members, in a normal session.
We link to the Early Years Foundation stage curriculum, linking the 7 areas of Learning and Development into our daily planning and observations.
Our curiosity child-centred approach to learning promotes the development of creativity, individuality and self-confidence.
Our 'enabling environment' incorporates both indoor and outdoor 'learning' - our philosophy being 'what can be learnt inside can be learnt outside'.
We provide healthy snacks and take into account your child's likes and dislikes.
We incorporate the government literacy 'guidelines' 'Letters and Sounds' into our daily routine, thus developing children's speaking and listening skills from an early age.
We have an 'open-door' policy; a member of staff will always be free to speak to you at the start or end of a session and other times if convenient. Please just let us know if you wish to have a chat.
We have a large selection of toys and equipment - these are reviewed regularly and updated to ensure they link to the children's current interests. We do different activities each day - such as craft, painting, and baking, and include plenty of outdoor play.
We assign a key person to each child to ensure a smooth transition into the setting and through to school.
We still have spaces available for September 2024 start so if you would like a space for your child in our wonderful Pre School please get in touch via email to [email protected] or telephone 07926691995 and we will be happy to help.
